Ambassador Divers also offers a two stop trip featuring a snorkel stop at the Kittiwake wreck. The Kittiwake was purposefully sunk on January 5, 2011 by the Cayman Islands Government as an artificial reef and recreational site. The Chanticleer Class submarine rescue vessel (ASR-13) is 251 feet long and rests upright in approximately 60 feet of water on the sandy bottom off of Seven Mile Beach. The wreck is quite the majestic site and the local denizens of the deep have flocked to it. There are many different types of marine life that teem in these waters, making it both a snorkeler’s and divers must do. The top of the superstructure rests within 10 feet of the surface allowing snorkelers the opportunity to fully enjoy this developing reef. While on the Reef and Wreck snorkel tour, we will also visit one of the nearby coral reefs, which truly allows you to enjoy the splendor of the beautiful waters here. All transports, boat travel, and any gear you might require (mask with snorkel, fins, and personal flotation). In addition, ice water is available for our guests. As always, all you need is a towel, sunscreen, and a smile. The duration of this tour is approximately 2.5 hours.
