Founded in 1992, Ambassador Divers is a small dive operator committed to providing a high level of personal service to its customers. Our emphasis is on an incredibly personalized diving experience. Rather than running a ‘cattle boat’ operation, we provide an opportunity for a small number of divers to enjoy a guided underwater tour, led by a dive master with exceptional experience and knowledge of the dive sites of Grand Cayman. Our goal is to provide the ultimate Grand Cayman diving experience, with emphasis on revealing the great natural beauty of the underwater life.

Ambassador Divers is owned by Richard Bird from Liverpool England, and Jason Washington from Arkansas, USA. Day-to-day operations at Ambassador Divers are carried out by Jason, one of the most experienced divers on Grand Cayman. Jason currently has more than 10,000 dives in his personal dive log and is a certified PADI Master Instructor and a certified MFA Instructor. He is also a certified instructor in Nitrox, TDA Gas Blending, and Semi-Closed Circuit Rebreather. Jason and his assistants are committed to providing the best possible diving experience.

Although we can accommodate a larger number of divers by special request, nearly all dive excursions leave shore with no more than eight divers. We operate primarily on the West Bay and North and South Wall diving areas, which include some of the most spectacular dive sites in Grand Cayman. We can accommodate divers of all skill levels, and choose dive sites accordingly, from spectacular 100-foot wall dives to shallow, colorful reef dives. Dive boat charters are available on a daily or hourly basis. Night dives, snorkeling and of course, trips to Stingray City are also available.

In addition to basic equipment rental, such as a mask, fins, snorkel, BCD and regulator, we can on special request provide still and video camera rental. Tanks, fills and weights are provided as part of our dive packages.

Ambassador Divers also provides a full range of instruction for all PADI courses. An Open Water certification generally requires 4-5 half days of instruction, which can usually take place at your resort. For more advanced divers, instructor Jason Washington offers courses in Nitrox, TDI Gas Blending and PADI courses up to Assistant Instructor. Our goal is to provide personalized service and first-rate instruction by some of the most experienced instructors on the island, for all skill levels.
